Supplemental Security Income November Payout 2026

The supplemental security income November payout arrives early on Oct 30, 2026. See why there's no November deposit, 2026 amounts and the next SSI dates.

The supplemental security income November payout arrives early this year, on Friday, October 30, 2026, because November 1 falls on a Sunday. It is not a bonus: it is November's regular benefit, paid a few days ahead of schedule.

When is the supplemental security income November payout?

The supplemental security income November payout is scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2026. The Social Security Administration (SSA) normally pays SSI on the first day of the month, but November 1 is a Sunday, so the agency moves the payment to the last business day before it.

That means SSI recipients get two deposits in October: the regular October payment on Thursday, October 1, and the November payment on Friday, October 30.

There is no SSI deposit dated in November at all. Nothing needs to be done on your end; the money goes to the same bank account, Direct Express card or other method you already use.

Why there is no SSI payment in November 2026

The rule is simple: when the first of the month lands on a Saturday, Sunday or federal holiday, SSA pays SSI on the preceding business day. November 1, 2026 is a Sunday, so the November benefit is released on October 30.

The same rule shapes several other months this year. The 2026 calendar has early SSI payments on January 30, February 27, July 31, October 30 and December 31, and a few months have two payments while the following month has none. The next regular SSI payment after October 30 is Tuesday, December 1, 2026.

If you also receive Social Security retirement or disability benefits, that payment follows its own schedule. People who began Social Security before May 1997, or who get both Social Security and SSI, are paid their Social Security benefit on the 3rd, which is Tuesday, November 3.

Most other beneficiaries are paid on Wednesdays by birth date. Because Veterans Day falls on Wednesday, November 11, the second-Wednesday payment moves to Tuesday, November 10.

How much is the SSI payout?

The November payment uses the 2026 rates: up to $994 a month for an eligible individual and $1,491 for an eligible couple. These are maximum federal amounts.

What you actually receive depends on your income, living arrangements and, in some states, a state supplement.

On October 14, SSA announced a 3.6% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for 2027. It does not change the October 30 payment. It starts with the January 2027 payment, which is paid early on December 31, 2026 because January 1 is a federal holiday.

Federal SSI maximum 2026 (paid Oct 30) 2027 (first paid Dec 31, 2026)
Individual $994 $1,029
Couple $1,491 $1,544
Resource limit, individual $2,000 $2,000
Resource limit, couple $3,000 $3,000

SSI payment dates: October through January

These are the next three SSI deposits. Each is one month's benefit; none is an extra.

Deposit date Covers Why that date
Friday, October 30, 2026 November 2026 November 1 is a Sunday
Tuesday, December 1, 2026 December 2026 Regular first-of-month payment
Thursday, December 31, 2026 January 2027, with the 3.6% COLA January 1 is a federal holiday

So the gap between the October 30 deposit and the December 1 deposit is a full month, and the December 1 and December 31 deposits are one day apart. Recipients who also get Social Security will see a third deposit in some of these months.

How to budget the early November payout

The October 30 deposit has to cover all of November, and the next one does not arrive until December 1. A few habits make that stretch easier:

Treat October 30 as November's paycheck. Set aside rent, utilities and medication costs first, before everyday spending.

Line up bills that are due early in November, such as rent due on the 1st, with the deposit date so nothing is late.

Plan weekly spending rather than spending down the balance in the first days of the month.

Check your account on October 30. If the deposit has not arrived, contact your bank or card issuer first, as SSA advises, then SSA if the bank cannot explain it.

Be wary of any call, text or email claiming to be about your "extra" or "missing" November payment. SSA does not need you to act for a scheduled early deposit.

Supplemental security income November payout common questions

Is the October 30 payment an extra payment?

No. It is November's regular benefit, issued early because of the calendar. Your total for the year does not change.

Do I need to do anything to receive it?

No. The early deposit is automatic and uses your existing payment method.

When does the 2027 increase start?
